This is the map that left the biggest impression on me on my first playthrough and it's still the first one that pops to my mind when thinking of Hell-themed levels. Petersen saved the best for the last: this, along with Monster Condo, is his Doom 2 magnum opus as far as I'm concerned. I wonder if the title was taken from the Black Sabbath song? Map29: Ay ay ay that was painful, didn't want to engage the cyb and took hours to snipe it from everywhere I could. Map27: Scary, gorgeous, and arachnotrons. Map26: Well you guessed, the mancubus was my highlight. Map25: Something in it struck me but I can't tell what exactly. Map24: Probably the most tense I felt after 20 Map23: Weirdly awesome and nerve-wracking, hated the chaingunners and archvile. Map22: Lol the baron or hell knight whatever scared me in "tight" quarters Map21: Honestly okay but I can't tell if I liked it or not back then. Cyb and SMM tied the infight on my first time provoking it. Most probably the hardest map so far for me. Map20: I hated to door-camp the bosses and die anyways. Map19: You know, not bad, got a thing with this fortress maps since younger apparently. Cool map, years later thanks to BigMacDavis he showed how to start all the infight in the courtyard. Map18: Probably stayed stuck at the start for a while. Map17: Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm sure, oh yeah the arachnotron and the lone PE, fun times Map16: Another good map I only registered the shoot secrets. Map32: I liked the blue walls more, also commander keens :0 Map31: Me, a spanish native speaker, I heard them say "zellweger" Map14: Shame on me because it's a cool map and it got lost in memory Map13: Obviously I walked in circles for hours but I think I loved it Map12: Same as in 07 the mancs chasing me scared me a lot, which is my earliest memory dealing with mancubi. Map10: Ugly except the dark rooms were cool Map08: Memorable because I thought I had to kill every single baron and the cyber myself before the two invuls were over. Map07: Yea, mancubi scared the shit out of me, arachnotrons not so much because they had cute eyes. Map05: Probably hated to be swarmed by imps here. Map04: Mmm, the intermittent windows were a cool highlight. Don't recall my reaction to chaingunners, if there were any on that skill. Map03: The secret tunnel took me hours to get inside, til I figured how to run. The red keycard place may be my only blurred memory from babyhood and several dreams. That means I jumped a lot, yet never strafed. Gonna steal Roofi's model and include my first impressions circa 2013 if my memory serves me right, when I played it all in zdoom without ever acknowledging what zdoom really was.
